MANY mothers, especially the younger ones, shy away from breastfeeding their babies because of myths that are circulating about the practice. However, exclusive breastfeeding for babies up to six months is recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as it tries to reduce infant mortality due to common childhood illnesses.
